Matt's philosophy:
The role of a Realtor is to guide the client through the buying or selling process, taking the time to make sure they understand every step of the transaction.  The "Golden Rule" is the foundation of Matt's philosophy - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."  He enjoys lifting the proverbial "veil" off the real estate industry and dispelling marketing myths and revealing to his clients industry secrets.  If Matt takes pride in anything, it's that his clients are more informed about the real estate industry and the transaction process than most agents.  Matt's extensive experience has shown him the more informed his clients are, the more sound and sensible the decisions they make - resulting in countless agreeable and successful transactions.  Matt's commitment is to never allow himself, or his clients, to be at a preparation or information disadvantage.  He's proud of what he does, and even more proud of the people he represents.

Most real estate agents invest the majority of their time and resources in marketing themselves.  Instead, Matt chooses to market property.  Matt isn't out to sell more homes than his competition, rather his goal is to sell his clients' homes for more - preserving more of their equity.  He markets every home and negotiates every sale as if it was his own - "The Golden Rule."

Dedicated to your needs:
Because real estate transactions don't stick to regular business hours, Matt is available seven days a week, often coming in early and staying late as necessary to get the job done.

About me:
I'm a fifth generation native Californian born in Newport Beach and my beautiful Southern-belle wife and I reside in Rancho Palos Verdes. The South Bay is L.A.'s best kept secret, I love it... and we’ll probably spend the rest of our lives here. Aside from my work; golf, tennis, wine tasting and long drives up and down the coast are my passions.  I'm a Desert Storm veteran who served in the U.S. Marines from 1988 to 1994. Before embarking on a career in real estate, I owned a small independent record label (Ill Boogie Records/EMI) for 15 years. I enjoyed a few thriving and successful years developing, producing and marketing new talent; however, the Hollywood lifestyle began to take its toll.  My experience as an entrepreneur made the transition to a career in real estate a very easy and natural one.  I’m now enjoying a much more fulfilling life helping people with the biggest transactions of their lives - buying and selling their homes.  I have to admit, the earning potential is what attracted me to real estate, but it's the lives I've favorably impacted and the relationships I’ve built that will keep me in the business forever – And I had no idea until I first witnessed the tears of joy that accompanies so many homebuyers when accepting their new house keys.  It’s amazing!

In addition to helping people market their properties and acquire their dream homes, I am a partner in a real estate investment consulting firm that helps their clients (and mine) build wealth in the spirit of the best-selling book Rich Dad, Poor Dad.  If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it.

As a public service, I host free seminars and speak to civil groups educating homeowners on local market conditions, how to pay their mortgage off in one-third the time (www.EquityASAP.com), how to prepare a home to sell for top dollar and how to avoid the seven biggest mistakes sellers make.  The South Bay community is very important to me, and these speaking engagements keep me grounded and in touch.

I’m a member of Redondo Beach’s Chamber of Commerce and a Special Friend Sponsor of Wildlife Waystation, a volunteer for 1-800-Save-A-Pet and the Redondo Beach Dog Park.

My Sales Statistics:

  • 102% Sales Price to List Price ratio
  • 0 Expired Listings
  • Generally never have to show a buyer more than five homes (but I’m willing to show as many as it takes to find the right home).
  • 80% Referral Based Business
  • 100% Client Satisfaction
